Estepona Town Council continues to improve accessibility and urban mobility in the municipality’s neighbourhoods.
Work has already begun to install a new metal walkway that will remove the main architectural barrier in the Blas Infante and Picasso neighbourhoods.
The work includes a 50-metre-long ramp that will overcome a height difference of 3.5 metres, making passage more comfortable and safer for people with reduced mobility, older people and families with baby buggies.
This intervention will improve the connection of the Blas Infante and Picasso neighbourhoods with CEIP Sierra Bermeja, the children’s playground and the Bello Horizonte district.
The work includes demolition, foundations and the installation of metal structures and safety elements, with a municipal investment of more than €35,000.
With this project, the Town Council reaffirms its commitment to modernising public spaces and creating more accessible, safe and functional urban environments for all residents.
