Estepona opts for smarter and safer mobility
Estepona Town Council is expanding the network of smart cameras for traffic control, thereby strengthening urban mobility and the ability to respond to congestion, accidents and incidents on our streets.
More than 170 new devices will be installed, adding to the 240 already in place, reaching 82 control points at different locations in the town, especially in outlying areas.
The project has a base budget of €970,410.78 (VAT included) and will make it possible to incorporate technology with greater capacity and better performance.
The system will be managed and viewed in real time from the Control Centre at the Estepona Local Police Headquarters, enabling faster and more coordinated action when necessary.
In 2023, Estepona was a pioneer in the province in implementing this smart camera system for traffic control. The good results obtained now allow a new step forward and the expansion of its coverage.
More technology, more response capacity and smoother mobility for Estepona.
