Necropolis from the 13th-15th centuries found in the works on the boulevard in front of Estepona’s new Town Hall

Our historical heritage continues to emerge with the renovation of the city centre. A dozen tombs belonging to a necropolis dated to the 13th-15th centuries have been found in the works on the boulevard in front of the new Town Hall.
Other remains of interest have also been found, such as five bolaños, artillery pieces made of peridotite, a stone characteristic of the Sierra de Estepona.
The archaeological work is coordinated and supervised by technicians from the Junta de Andalucía.
