We continue improving Estepona’s schools

The Town Council of Estepona continues to advance in improving and modernising our educational facilities.

The comprehensive refurbishment of the six toilets in the west wing of CEIP Santo Tomás de Aquino has been put out to tender, with a budget of €114,279.28 including VAT.

The works will completely renovate the toilets on all three floors, including flooring, tiling, partition walls, joinery, sanitary fittings and plumbing, sewerage and electrical installations. New false ceilings and air extraction systems will also be installed and the old fibre-cement sewerage pipes will be removed.

In addition, at this same school the renovation of 295 m² of flooring in the outdoor galleries is already under way, with an investment of €32,075.

These projects are part of a historic investment of more than €800,000 this year to improve 18 schools in Estepona, including primary schools and nursery schools.

To this are added the €130,000 of the Air-Conditioning Plan, which will improve classroom conditions with the installation of around a hundred air-conditioning and heating units.

At the Partido Popular of Estepona we continue to commit to safer, more modern, functional and comfortable schools for our children and for the whole educational community.
