Estepona’s 2026 Budget strengthens its social character: 7.6 million for protection and promotion, a record in home care with 4.9 million to assist 800 people

The 2026 municipal Budget once again has a marked social character. We have increased to 7.6 million euros the allocations for social protection and promotion programmes, which represents 6% of the Town Council’s expenditure budget for next year. The allocation for home care/dependency stands out, with 4.9 million euros, the largest amount ever earmarked for this action, with the aim of providing record coverage for some 800 people.

Support for groups is also increased, with almost a million euros. Once again, the amounts linked to assistance and social programmes for the most vulnerable groups remain ‘expandable allocations’, according to need.
