An important day for municipal employees.

Estepona Town Council has today unanimously approved the Job Positions List (Relación de Puestos de Trabajo, RPT) for its contract staff.

The General Negotiating Committee unanimously agreed this document, which had long been demanded by the union representatives.

The RPT is the document that compiles and organises all the contract staff positions of the Town Council, detailing the essential characteristics of each post, its title, duties, requirements, pay level and recruitment system. It is a technical tool for personnel management that makes it possible to structure the workforce, define responsibilities, ensure the correct assignment of tasks and guarantee organisational efficiency, which will also lead to better quality in the provision of public services.

This governing team was committed to getting the RPT through, and it is satisfying to see that it has been possible with the unanimity of all the union branches that represent municipal employees.
